Signs your drains need cleaning
- Water drains slowly from sinks, tubs or showers
- Gurgling sounds coming from drains or toilets
- Bad smells coming up from a drain
- Water backs up into the tub when the toilet flushes or the washer drains
- Water pooling around a basement floor drain
- More than one fixture is slow or blocked at the same time
Drains we clear
Kitchen sinks
Grease, food scraps and soap build-up that harden inside the pipe.
Bathroom sinks, tubs & showers
Hair and soap scum, the most common bathroom clog.
Toilets
Blockages from wipes, paper and things that shouldn't be flushed.
Floor & laundry drains
Lint, sediment and debris in basement and laundry lines.
Main drain lines
The line that carries all your home's wastewater out to the sewer.
How we clear a clogged drain
- Find the cause. We check which fixtures are affected to figure out where the blockage is and what's likely causing it.
- Free estimate. You get a clear price before any work starts.
- Clear the line. We use the right tool for the drain and the clog to clear the full pipe, not just open a small channel.
- Test & prevent. We run water to confirm everything flows, then walk you through how to keep it clear.
Several drains backing up at once? That usually points to the main line rather than a single fixture. Stop running water and call us. If it happens during heavy rain, read about backwater valves.
How to keep your drains clear
- Never pour grease or cooking oil down the sink. Let it cool and throw it in the garbage.
- Use strainers in kitchen sinks, tubs and showers to catch food and hair.
- Only flush toilet paper. "Flushable" wipes don't break down like paper does.
- Skip chemical drain cleaners. They can damage pipes and rarely clear the whole clog.
